In keeping with this trend, the pet industry is growing exponentially. The number of veterinary clinics has spiked, and there are lots of stores selling pet supplies. '동물병원’의 정확한 영어 표현은 본문에서와 같이 veterinary clinic이지만, 일상 대화에서는 대부분 vet clinic 혹은 the vet’s라고 말한다. ‘수의사’ 역시 마찬가지로 veterinarian이 정확한 표현이지만, 대개는 vet이라고 부르는 것이 더 자연스럽다.
