Skeletal class II, Dental class II with Gummy smile and ant crowding
She(15Y10M~18Y1M) presented severe lip protrusion, gummy smile and crowding.
but she didn’t show upper anterior teeth labial inclination. so I had to upper anterior teeth intrusively translation. But you know, This kinda movement was pretty much difficult to manage. I think A-point retraction is possible when anterior teeth’s inclination is correct. but This response depends on patient. esp ages… I wanted to RETRACT A point also but it didn’t. Even though I did INCISORS’s translation and maintain the correct inclination.
I retracted upper INCISORS intrusively backward a lot so I made it resolve lip incompetency and gummy smile.
