Case report of Class II division 2 patient with deep bite and gummy smile by way of non-ext modality
This adolescent female patient sought for orthodontic treatment due deep overbite, anterior crowding and gummy smile
she had a good profile which I didn’t want violate. this kinda malocclusion is tricky to treat because this case is borderline case which means difficult to decide extract modality or non-ext method.
I used 4 microimplants on the upper arch and 2 microimplants on the lower arch.
I should intrude upper anterior teeth and RETRACT upper whole arch. at the same time I had to RETRACT lower molar to make a room to align anterior teeth.
Have you ever tried this kinda treatment method??? Was it easy or not?? Look at the lateral ceph and facial photos. I didn’t violate original good profile at all.
I changed upper occlusal plane angle.
