There are tons of movie theaters in Korea. They are all over the place these days. That’s because Koreans really like to go to the movies. It is a very popular form of entertainment. Most movie theaters are in downtown areas with a lot of foot traffic. There are three major theater chains in Korea. They have great facilities and are very large in size. They have comfy seats with a lot of leg room and special seats for couples.

한국에는 영화관이 정말 많다. 요즘은 거의 모든 곳에 영화관이 있다. 그 이유는 한국인들이 영화 보러가는 것을 유난히 좋아하기 때문이다. 영화관에 가는 것은 매우 보편적인 문화 생활의 일환이다. 대부분의 영화관들은 유동 인구가 많은 번화가에 있다. 한국에는 세 곳의 대형 극장 체인이 있다. 이들 영화관들은 시설도 좋고 규모가 크다. 죄석도 편하고 앞뒤 간격도 넓다. 연인을 위한 특별한 좌석들도 있다.

Movie tickets can be bought at the box office, on site at the theater. When people buy tickets in this fashion, they are usually watching a movie on a whim. Otherwise, it’s not a peak time, so there’s no need to reserve in advance. Most people do get tickets in advance using theater apps. This makes it a breeze to buy tickets. Users can also get dibs on the seats that they want. At the theater, you can enter by showing them your reservation details on your phone.

영화표는 영화관 현장에 가면 매표소에서 구매할 수 있다. 대부분 즉흥적으로 영화를 보거나 관객이 별로 없는 시간대여서 사전 예매를 안 해도 돠는 경우에 이렇게 현장에서 구매를 한다. 대부분의 사람들은 영화관 앱을 이용해서 사전에 예매를 한다. 그렇게 하면 매우 손쉽게 표를 구매할 수 있다. 앉고 싶은 좌석을 미리 지정할 수도 있다. 극장에 가서도 핸드폰으로 예매 내역을 보여 주고 입장하면 된다.
