I talk to many types of people over the phone, I usually call my family members, friends, or co-workers. Sometimes I make personal calls, while others are work-related. I used to make calls indoors, mostly. But now that I use a cell phone and Bluetooth earphones, I think I make more calls when I’m on the move. I often call people when I’m on the bus or the subway. So, I can now make phone calls wherever I am, whenever I need to.

나는 다양한 사람들과 전화 통화를 한다. 주로 가족, 친구, 동료들과 통화를 많이 한다. 사적인 통화를 할 때도 있고 업무 관련된 통화를 하는 경우도 있다. 예전에는 주로 실내에서 전화 통화를 했지만 이제 는 휴대 전화와 블루투스 이어폰을 사용하다 보니, 이동 중에 통화를 더 많이 하는 것 같다. 주로 버스나 지하철에서 전화 통화를 많이 한다. 그래서 이제 장소에 구애받지 않고, 필요할 때 언제든지 전화 통화를 할 수 있다.

I talk about tons of things with my friends over the phone. We first ask after each other and do some catching up. We most often talk about our work, career goals, and future plans. Unloading concerns and exchanging advice can be really helpful. Sometimes, we talk about our plans for tying the knot. Of course, we talk about our mutual friends, too. Plus, we talk about movies we watched recently, restaurants we dined out at, get-togethers we went to, and trips we went on.

친구들과 전화로 정말 다양한 이야기들을 한다. 가장 먼저 서로 안부를 묻고 밀린 이야기를 한다. 주로 일이나 커리어 목표, 향후 계획에 대한 이야기들을 나눈다. 고민을 털어놓고 조언을 주고받으면 큰 도움이 돠는 경우가 많다. 결혼 계획에 대한 이야기들을 할 때도 있다. 물론 서로 같이 알고 지내는 친구들에 대한 이야기도 한다. 그 밖에도 최근에 봤던 영화나 가 본 음식점, 다녀온 모임이나 여행과 관련된 이야기들을 하기도 한다.
