My first cell phone was just a regular phone. I was only able to make phone calls and send text messages. That was it, It was also quite bulky and heavy. However, cell phones have come a long way since then. These days, smartphones have become the norm. I can go online on my smartphone, so can do almost anything. The latest models are much faster, lighter, and thinner. They are more user-friendly and easier to carry around. Plus, wireless networks have become amazingly fast.

내가 처음으로 시용한 휴대폰은 그냥 일반 전화기였다. 전화 통화를 하고 문자 메시지를 보내는 것밖에 할 수 없었다. 부피도 크고 무거웠다. 그러나 그 이후로 휴대폰은 정말 비약적인 발전을 거듭했다. 요즘은 스마트폰이 대세로 자리 잡았다. 이제는 스마트폰으로 인터넷을 접속할 수 있어서 거의 모든 것을 할 수 있다. 최신 기종들은 훨씬 빠르고 가볍고 얇다. 사용법이 편리하며 휴대하고 다니기도 쉬워졌다. 무선 네트워크도 놀라울 정도로 빨라졌다.

One of the most common problems with cell phones is the battery. People use their phones all day long, so they run out of juice quite often. It is very frustrating when your phone dies. That’s why many people keep their chargers handy or use battery packs. Broken phones are another problem. If you drop your phone, chances are you will shatter the screen. Repairs don’t come cheap. Finally, people also lose their phones sometimes. They often leave them behind somewhere.

휴대폰과 관련된 가장 흔한 문제는 배터리 문제다. 사람들이 하루 종일 전화기를 사용하다 보니까 배터리가 매우 자주 방전된다. 전화기가 꺼지면 매우 답답하다. 그래서 많은 사람들이 총전기를 가지고 다니거나 보조 배터리를 사용한다. 그다음으로 흔한 문제는 전화기 파손이다. 전화기를 떨어뜨리면 액정이 깨지는 경우가 다반사다. 수리를 하는 데 제법 돈이 든다. 마지막으로 분실도 흔한 문제다. 전화기를 어딘가에 두고 오는 경우가 매우 많다.
