I like going to a pub near my home. It is a local pub that serves draft beer. I go there because they have good food and a lively atmosphere. When the weather is nice, you can sit at outdoor tables and eat. It’s also within walking distance from my house. The pub is run by a married couple. They are really friendly. Plus, the prices are cheaper than at other pubs. I am a regular there. I go there once or twice a month on average.

나는 집 근처 맥줏집에 가는 것읕 좋아한다. 생맥주를 파는 평범한 동네 맥줏집이다. 음식이 맛있고 분위기도 활기차서 그곳에 간다. 날씨가 좋을 때는 야외 테이블에 앉아서 음식을 먹을 수도 있다. 집에서 걸어갈 수 있는 거리라 더 좋다. 부부가 운명하는 맥줏집인데 매우 친절하다. 가격도 다른 곳들에 비해서 저렴한 편이다, 나는 그곳의 딘골이라서 한 달에 평균 한두 번은 간다.

Pubs in Korea have become a lot better than in the past. In the past, they mostly served domestic beer. But now, pubs serve various types of imported beer from all across the world. There is a wide range of options. The market share of imported beers has long since passed domestic beers. There are many chain restaurants that specialize in fried chicken. People often go there to have a beer, because beer and chicken pair well together.

한국의 맥줏집들은 예전에 비해서 많이 좋아졌다. 예전에는 주로 국산 맥주를 취급했는뎨, 지금은 전 세계 각지에서 온 다양한 종류의 수입 맥주를 취급한다. 선택의 폭이 정말 넓어졌다. 수입 맥주의 시장 점유율도 국산 맥주의 점유을을 넘어선 지 오래다. 특히 프라이드치킨을 전문으로 하는 체인점들이 정말 많아졌고, 사람들은 그곳에서 자주 맥주를 마신다. 맥주하고 치킨은 궁합이 잘 맞기 때문이다.
