There’s a whole bunch of coffee shops in my neighborhood. The place I visit most often is part of a major chain of coffee shops. It has a laid-back atmosphere, so it’s just the place for enjoying a cup of coffee. The drinks all taste great, but they are a bit pricey. When you order coffee, you get a stamp on your punch card. If you collect enough, you get a drink on the house.

우리 동네에는 커피숍이 제법 많은 편이다. 그중에서 내가 가장 자주 가는 곳은 대형 커피 체인점 이다. 분위기가 느긋하고 좋아서 커피를 마시기가 좋다. 음료들이 모두 맛있지만 가격이 조금 비싸다. 커피를 주문하면 카드에 도장을 받고, 개수가 쌓이면 무료로 음료 한 진을 받을 수 있다.

It’s customary to drink a cup of joe or tea at a coffee shop. But these days, most places also offer small bites. There’s such a wide array of baked goods that it brings to mind a bakery. That’s why I often go to a coffee shop to grab a bite when I’m hungry. Also, coffee shops now play a role as work spaces. Many people hit the books in cafes, or work on their laptops, There are also coffee shops that keep late hours.
