My father retired after 35 years on the job. He invested in real estate. He also receives a pension every month, so there are no financial issues. As a hobby, he continues to play tennis. He finds happiness by exercising with neighbors. He also meets with fellow churchgoers at church. Plus, he grows crops in a small garden. He also often travels abroad with my mom.

These days, people live to be 100 if they stay in shape. That’s why more people are shoring up for the 2nd act of their lives after retirement. Preparing financially for post-retirement life is most important. Normally, people stay solvent by receiving pensions or through insurance policies. Another way is to expand assets through various investments. Having a hobby or learning something for self-improvement can also help to find a sense of meaning in life after retirement.
