A few years ago, I went on vacation to Jeju Island. We reserved a cabin room right by the sea. When we touched down at the airport, we rented a car and headed to the cabin. We really liked the ocean view. As soon as we unpacked, we visited various tourist attractions. We also hiked up Hallasan Mountain. We also ate a lot of Jeju Island’s local food.

몇 년 전에 제주도로 놀러 갔다. 바닷가 바로 옆에 았는 펜션을 예약했다. 공항에 내려서 렌터카를 빌려서 숙소로 향했다. 바닷가 전망이 무척 마음에 들었다. 짐을 풀자마자, 여러 관광지를 방문했다. 한라산을 등반하기도 했다. 제주도에서만 먹어 볼 수 있는 음식들도 많이 먹었다.

Jeju Island is a large island situated at the southern tip of Korea. Geologically, it’s a volcanic island created by volcanic activity. Many tourists visit Jeju Island to see its geographic formations. This makes Jeju a top pick among Korean tourists. With lots of specialty regional products like tangerines and black pork, there is also plenty of food native to the island. The weather is on the mild side, relatively speaking. The average temperature is 15°C. There have been active efforts to lure in foreign tourists lately, so more of them are paying a visit each year.

제주도는 한국 최남단에 위치한 큰 섬으로, 지질학적으로 보면 화산 활동으로 생겨난 화산섬이다. 많은 관광객들이 제주의 지형적 특징을 구경하기 위해 방문을 한다. 그래서 제주도는 한국 사람들이 가장 많이 찾는 관광지이다. 귤이나 흑돼지와 같은 지역 특산물이 많아서, 제주도 고유의 먹거리 또한 매우 풍부하다. 날씨도 비교적 온화한 편이고, 연평균 기온은 15℃이다. 최근에는 적극적으로 외국인 관광객을 유치하고 있어서, 제주도를 찾는 외국인 관광객들이 매년 증가하고 있다.
