As apartment prices rise out of control, many young people are having a tough time buying a home. Even scrimping and saving for a lifetime might not be enough to buy an apartment. Meanwhile, people with several apartments are expanding their wealth. It’s a vicious cycle of the wealthy getting wealthier, and the poor getting poorer. The government is implementing real-estate policies to solve this social issue. Examples include tax hikes for multiple-home owners and stronger rules for taking out a mortgage.
